Effect of Thioacetamide Administration on the Mice Kidney

Abstract
|
|
|
The authors studied o n the histopathologic changes of. the mice kidney, especially on the mitochondria after 0. 02gm. of thioacet amide subcutaneous injection. At intervals of 1, 3, 6, 12 hrs., 1, 2, and 3 days after the injection, the animals were sacrificed .respectively and then the kidneys were extirpated. The histologic sections were stained with H-E and Altmann-Kull´s method.
The results were as follows:
1. The morphologic changes in the H-E stained are most prominent in 1-day group,
but the mitochondrial changes between 12 hrs. and 1-day group.
2. The mitochondrial changes are occurred prior to the general histologic changes
chronologically.
